The 3D Character Maker VRoid Studio, Stable Ver. is Finally Here

We're thrilled to announce that the long-awaited VRoid Studio stable version is finally ready for release. On this occasion, we would also like to thank all of you who have been eagerly waiting and never stopped showing your support. We really appreciate it!

■ Introducing Some Features

1. Face parameters are now unisex, for a broader range of expression

We have unified all the face parameters that were previously divided into male/female categories. With the new parameters, you can now choose whether to give your model a face that is more reminiscent of masc traits, fem traits, or anywhere in between. This gives you more freedom than ever before in customizing your models.

2. More face components and parameters

We really focused on presenting more and more customizable parameters in this version. Eyes and nose shape, contour lines, neck thickness, and many more customizable features that weren't available in the beta versions await you in this new release! Furthermore, you will have way more control over the facial features now that the face components have grown from 7 to 16.

We have other ideas in mind as well, and the software has been planned so that new parameters can be easily added. Look forward to new updates in the future!

3. New presets, easier editing, and shared custom items!

 On this stable version, we prepared more than 350 preset items for you to be able to get a quick start on your new characters. You don't need to worry about having to create everything from scratch, there's plenty of material for you to choose from. If you think you could improve any of these items by giving them your own touch, you can customize and save them so that they are available for your other models too.

4.  Accessories Feature with glasses, furry ears, etc.

You'll be finally able to have your model freely sport glasses, cat or rabbit ears, and other similar accessories. Shape, length, and many other features are customizable via more than 10 parameters. We have more accessories in the works, so keep looking forward to new updates!

5. Create the ultimate outfit with the Overlay Feature

On this version, you're finally able to have your model wear more outfits at the same time. You can have fun creating a unique silhouette combining more outfit templates, or simply overlay more clothes for a cute layered look.

We also updated the existing features giving you more opportunities for customization. Don't hold back and show us your best outfit!

■ Video Tutorials for the New Features

Together with the stable release, we are giving you all free access to video tutorials on YouTube introducing you to the new features! We will keep adding more in the future, hoping to help our community in their next creations. Go and take a look!

■ About pixivFACTORY's 3D Print feature

We apologize for the inconvenience, but in order to improve 3D model expressions during printing and manufacturing, the release of VRoid Studio 1.0 on October 31st, 2021 (Sun) will not be able to link to pixivFACTORY's 3D Print feature. Our teams are working hard to develop services that provide consistent quality, so we ask for your understanding and patience. Those who use VRoid Studio beta versions 0.13.1 to 0.14.0 will be able to continue using the 3D Print feature as they have up until now.

■ About the Conversion Feature for models created on Beta versions

As mentioned above, there are many new features we can't wait for you to try out in the Stable Version. For you to bring over your older models from the Beta versions, some updates will be needed.

In order for those features to apply to your older models as well, we came up with a Conversion feature for characters created on Beta versions to be customizable on the Stable version too, as mentioned earlier in the News section.

We know how much effort you have put into creating your models on the Beta versions, and we are terribly sorry to have to ask you to go through part of that fuss once again. Please understand that we are doing what's in our power, and we deemed this as the best option we have in order to deliver our best product.
